Conrad High School
Tasby Middle School
Hotchkiss Elementary School
Dan D. Rogers Elementary School ,
"the schools have been staffed with additional health employees as a precaution and to answer questions, and more sanitation staff to be sure the schools are cleaned and disinfected."

"Duncan was transported on September 28 from the Ivy Apartments, located east of Greenville Avenue and north of Tasby Middle School, to Texas Health Presbyterian Hospital Dallas. Residents and the manager at the complex said no one from either the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention or the health department have contacted them."[читаем далее историю и меры]
"Those who were in contact with Duncan are not under quarantine.Sana Syed, a spokeswoman with the city of Dallas, confirmed Duncan was vomiting when he arrived at the hospital Sunday. The three paramedics who transported the patient are temporarily off duty and among those under observation. All three paramedics tested negative for the virus."
The ambulance has since been decontaminated per CDC guidelines and will soon be put back into service.)
The family of the Texas Ebola patient Thomas Eric Duncan have been ordered to stay in their home after violating official's initial request not to leave.
"There were violations of the request to not leave their premises," Dallas judge Clay Jenkins said of the breach that prompted the Texas Department of State Health Services to order the quarantine.
"Authorities with the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention have said ........... his diagnosis has left residents in Dallas on edge, with scrutiny for Texas Health Presbyterian Hospital, which allowed the man to leave after he told a nurse he had come from West Africa.

Duncan returned to the hospital by ambulance two days later. He remains in an isolation unit, listed in serious condition.

Mark Lester, the executive vice president of Texas Health Resources, said a communication issue was responsible for the lapse.
Regretfully, that information was not fully communicated throughout the full team,” Lester said.
Five children who members of Duncan's family have also been told to stay home.
Authorities also scrubbed down area schools , trying to contain the disease’s spread.
"Weeks said that the family is concerned that Duncan was admitted to the hospital and put in isolation on Sunday, but hasn't received the experimental Ebola drugs.“I don’t understand why he is not getting the Zmapp,” Weeks said.

The manufacturer of the drug has said they have run out of the experimental medicine.Duncan's former boss in Monrovia, Liberia, said the patient had been his driver for the last year or two until he abruptly left his job in early September.

"I really don’t know," why he left, Henry Brunson, general manager of Safeway Cargo, told ABC News. "He didn’t resign. He just left the office. He just walked away.”
Brunson didn't know where Duncan went until he saw him on the news as the Ebola patient in Dallas, Texas.
Duncan's identity emerged as Texas health officials outlined efforts to track and monitor the people Duncan was in contact with since becoming sick over the weekend.
Dr. Tom Frieden, director of the Centers for Disease and Control and Prevention, said Wednesday there is a seven-person team in Dallas working with the local health department and the hospital to identify people who came into contact with Duncan.

The entire apartment complex is being power washed today.

The order came as authorities track all the people who Duncan is believed to have come in contact with since his arrival. The circle of people who have come into contact with him has grown rapidly from 18 Wednesday night to 100, according to Texas health officials.

"Out of an abundance of caution, we're starting with this very wide net, including people who have had even brief encounters with the patient or the patient's home," Texas Department of State Health Services spokesperson Carrie Wilson said in a statement. "The number will drop as we focus in on those whose contact may represent a potential risk of infection."

A team of 10 experts from the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention have arrived in Dallas and will be helping the local health officials "find, assess, and assist everyone who came into contact" with Duncan, according to a CDC news release.

Ebola has killed more than 3,300 people, with nearly 7,200 cases reported since the outbreak began in March.

"The patient has not been named by the hospital for privacy reasons. However, Gee Melish, who said he was a family friend, identified the man as Thomas Eric Duncan.

Duncan's nephew, Josephus Weeks, told NBC on Wednesday night that his uncle was not treated for Ebola until Weeks personally called the federal Centers for Disease Control in Atlanta to report the suspected illness. He said he made the call on the day that Duncan had returned to the Dallas hospital.

A CDC spokesman said Thursday the agency was seeking to confirm if and when such a call was placed.

The New York Times said Duncan, in his mid-40s, helped transport a pregnant woman suffering from Ebola to a hospital in Liberia, where she was turned away for lack of space. Duncan then brought her back to her family's home and carried her into the house, where she later died, the newspaper reported.

The case has sparked concern nationwide over the potential for a wider spread of the virus from West Africa, where at least 3,338 people have died in the worst outbreak on record."

"DALLAS — Health officials are closely monitoring a possible second Ebola patient who had close contact with the first person to be diagnosed in the U.S., the director of Dallas County's health department said Wednesday."
"Anyone who had contact with the patient, including emergency room staff, will be under health officials' observation for 21 days. If any of those being monitored show symptoms, they'll be placed in isolation."- судя по всему, будет приезжать медсестра 2 раза вдень мерять температуру, чтоб не упустить момент когда  превысила 100.5 Ф
на свере техаса, оказывается, приличное количество либерийцев: "Stanley Gaye, president of the Liberian Community Association of Dallas-Fort Worth, said the 10,000-strong Liberian population in North Texas is skeptical of the CDC's assurances because Ebola has ravaged their country. "We've been telling people to try to stay away from social gatherings," Gaye said at a community meeting Tuesday. Large get-togethers are a prominent part of Liberian culture."

"The Dallas County Medical Society along with the county health department has sent out a notice to all county medical providers with new guidelines for identifying and treating potential Ebola patients.

The health advisory urges providers to collect a travel history in all patients presenting with fever, place a surgical mask on anyone who reports travel to a country affected the Ebola outbreak, and to immediately escort the patient to a private room for medical evaluation. Prompt isolation of patients who meet the standards is recommended.

The recommendations apply to all medical providers, including family practice physicians." хотя это актуально не только для далласа, а и везде- "быть готовыми".
а Томас из критического состояния, вроде бы перешел в стабильно тяжелое, значит шансы неплохие- выжить.
